Brenda Loube was a speaker / presenter at our First Annual Florida Wealth Women’s Event. She did a wonderful job presenting to women ways to make Fitness Fun while traveling or just negotiating a hectic lifestyle. She provided valuable techniques and ideas to fit the need for exercise into a typical day.
Brenda was part of a panel discussion after her presentation. She was clear and direct with her responses. She obviously connected with her audience. After the presentation was complete she was approached by several ladies looking for additional guidance. I would not hesitate to ask Brenda to speak again.

I found You Can Play to be an enjoyable and rewarding read.  By blending the inspirational stories with playful sport like analogies and a “play book” for success, I was able to finish each chapter with a sense of motivation and clear direction for taking the next step.  Particularly applying concepts from the chapters that discuss taking risks and thinking on your feet.  These have inspired me to encounter situations of the unknown with improved confidence and decisiveness.   I’m gradually accepting the fact that I can’t be perfectly planned and polished for every situation life throws at me.  Brenda’s writing has helped me look at these situations differently; focusing less on a fear of failure and more towards an opportunity to grow and succeed while trusting myself, my capabilities and that my teammates have faith in me to make a play when it counts.  Thank you, Brenda for sharing this wisdom and inspiration through your book.

I have not been in the business world but like the message that everybody is worth something and has something to offer, so just get up there and do it.  I enjoyed  the upbeat attitude. It was a very well written book.

"As a person entering the sixth decade of her life, You Can Play opened some doors in my memory that had been shut for some time. The exuberance underlying the words communicated by Brenda brought me back into the exciting playground world of my own childhood. I found myself remembering the swim team fun of high school and the thrilling competitive energy of team sports in college. The remembrance of those memories alone made my reading of her book so well worth the effort. There were some thoughts offered by Brenda, however, that added sustenance to my spirit. As I read words relating to the ways in which team activities and sports can prepare women to become empowered and thus, more successful in their adult lives, a feeling of awe came over me. I had a profound sense of awe-struck comprehension. The exciting energy initially generated on the playground and the thrilling competitive energies of team play had remained within and sustained my spirit throughout every endeavor in my adult life, both personal and professional. You Can Play reminded me that any endeavor can be approached with an attitude of drudgery or one embedded with the spirit of play."

The oldest of three girls, my father soon discovered I was the one who had the “tomboy” in me. He encouraged me to get into sports and once I did, I loved it. Basketball was my favorite but then we also grew up as a family hooked on bowling. As a busy businesswoman, until I read You Can Play, I simply went to the gym for the sake of staying in shape. I have since joined a bowling league as a team effort with my company, purchased a pair of “old fashioned 4-wheeled” roller skates as I loved going as a group when I was younger, which is great aerobic exercise and MUCH LESS boring than the treadmill. In fact, my enthusiasm has been contagious and two of my colleagues just joined a volleyball league as they saw how much fun I was having. “Playing” with my peers has been so much fun and has even inspired some great ideas for our business. Great book.

Brenda’s book is contagious. It was given to me as a gift from someone who cares about me and told me I needed to get away from the computer and have some fun. I’m in my mid-60’s and seriously thought that “fun and games” were in the past even though I was very active when I was younger. You Can Play inspired me to get bicycles for my husband and I as well as convince one of my childhood friends to join a volleyball league (at the beginners level – for now). She and I have been having a great time and look forward to Tuesday evenings as we love our team and learning from the other players. We’ve proven that it’s never too late to play.

I have never participated in any real sports up until now as I did not want to look foolish so therefore I played it safe. After reading Brenda’s book, I decided to take a chance as I always loved watching the game of tennis. My budget wouldn’t permit me to take individual lessons so I swallowed my fear and signed up for group lessons. It takes lots of practice but I have overcome my fear and was pleasantly surprised to see how supportive all the women in the group are - we all look forward to our lesson and some of us have already been meeting on off-lesson dates to practice together. Thanks so much for writing this book.
